Patricia Fara (19??-)

Patricia Fara has a degree in physics from Oxford University and a PhD in History of Science from London University. She now lectures in the History and Philosophy of Science department at Cambridge University, where she is the Senior Tutor at Clare College.

Her major research speciality is science in eighteenth-century England, but she has published a range of academic and popular books on the history of science, including Newton: The Making of Genius (2002) and Pandora's Breeches: Women, Science and Power in the Enlightenment (2004). She has written many reviews and articles for academic journals as well as for general publication, including New Scientist, Nature and the Times Literary Supplement.
